Concept: Awake and Hungry is a subscription based website that allows home chefs and professional chefs the opportunity to become Members and publish their recipes and then earn money when customers pay for monthly subscriptions. Awake and Hungry primarily promotes plant based recipes to wake people up to the benefits of a plant based diet including 1) physical health benefits 2) environmental benefits for the planet and 3) avoiding animal cruelty/neglect involved in factory farming. Social media posts feature uplifting quotes/messaging, animal advocacy, an “I Am” member story campaign featuring their interests, values, reasons for choosing to create plant based recipes, and $$ earned on the website. Awake and Hungry features a profit sharing model which differs from other recipe websites that do not pay people for their recipe submissions.

The Chakra Factor - Spotify Music Playlist & Music Recommendations

Concept: The Chakra Factor seeks to be the go to source for finding new pop artists on Spotify. The Chakra Factor designs playlists featuring new and unknown artists. Playlists are designed to capture a consistent, cohesive emotional feeling throughout the entire playlist, unlike other playlists that are not cohesive or group together songs by playback speed, similar artists, or musical genre. Selecting music that captures a cohesive emotional feeling is done by focusing on the connection between music and the chakras (i.e. energy centers/acupuncture meridian points in the human body). Social media posts target a younger audience who find new music primarily through streaming services and therefore posts are colorful, bold, and lively.
